First of all, I would like to welcome all new members who have recently joined the Archery section. This year is going to be an exciting one with many events planned for outdoor shooting including target, field and 3D archery. Along with a host of other things going on, the Pioneer Archery Committee has been finalizing work on a new policy manual that we hope to release to all members soon. Once completed, this policy manual will be distributed to all members of the archery section and will detail our annual club events, provide a description of our facilities and cover general information about the club.
We’ve also been quietly working in the background organizing our spring clean-up day which is being held on Saturday April 16th at 9:30AM. If you have free time we would appreciate your time and talent to help us organize the outdoor range and assist with general clean up duties. This year we will also be redesigning our existing 3D course to make it more accessible while still maintaining a challenging and enjoyable target shooting experience. Other upcoming events:
Sincerely, John Vandenhelm Archery Chairman

Hi fellow campers. Camping season is just around the corner. Please be aware that all fees must be paid in full to be able to be in the campground for any reason on and after April 29th. This includes camping fees, membership fees and late fees if applicable. If you are caught down in the park you will be asked to leave. Failure to do so will result in further discipline which may include suspension or expulsion. Just to re-cap a few dates. The campground will be officially opened Friday April 29th. The gate will be opened and the power turned on or before 10:00am. The gate will be opened and the power will be turned on from 9:00am until 4:00pm on Saturday April 23rd & Sunday April 24th from 10:00am until 3:00pm for clean up weekend.
Thank you Andy Kelly Camp Director The main rifle range will be closed for floor cleaning and waxing on May 6th and on May 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th for PAL and Hunter safety education classes. I may get ambitious and decide to paint the backstop on the 7th . Participation in the Ontario Indoor Rifle Championship match has been good with 73 shooters registered for the two weekend event in April. The scores from this event also count for Junior shooters wishing to try-out for the 2016 Ontario Summer Games. The top 10 males and top 10 females would be selected to compete.
